LOVED IT! Bacon Bloody Marys w/ all my favorite garnishes (cheese, pickle, pickled green bean, BACON of course, and an olive), amazing & gigantic fried cheese curds, and over half the burgers include bacon on them. MUST-TRY is you're nearby!

The service was good and the popcorn better. I thought the cheese curds were bland tasting. I also don't think the toppings on your burger should make the burger. Honestly, the burger was also very plain. They need to season their beef to give it more taste. It was really just a plain hand pattied burger with good bacon and cheese toppings. Also, the tile floor throught out the entire restaurant was greasy slippery especially in the bathroom. Music was a bit loud as well

Great food at an affordable price. Known for their curds, which are slightly more expensive. One of the first places that I visited when I came to the area, and I've been back several times since then.

First, when you go here (and you SHOULD go here!), you need to try the Eau Claire Style Cheesecurds. It's like the Culver's cheesecurds, but on roids. They are breaded cheddar cheese curds as large as a small rock, probably 2-3" in diameter, and they are to die for. You have to at least try them. Their burger selection is amazing. My favorite is the Brown Sugar and Smoked Cheddar burger, but they have some amazing selections. You can build your own burger if you don't like any of their specialty burgers (unlikely, but possible). They also have a Facebook burger that their FB fans suggest, and they select winners and feature the burgers for a month. Lastly, they have the "Big Milwaukee Challenge" which includes a ridiculous amount of food for a reasonable price. Their wings are pretty tasty, too. If you are in the Eau Claire area or just passing through, you NEED to stop here. It's a very authentic Wisconsin bar and grill, and any person who enjoys an occasional burger should try it.

Nothing special, cold hard fries, burger was something we could of made at home. Would not go again. Server was not very attentive.

Average Burgers, at best. The menu sounds great, but the delivery is so-so. Of the three menu items ordered, the Vegetarian "burger" (portabella mushroom) was rated quite good, the spicy burger was ok, and the burger with hasbrowns was sent back as an over peppered, inedible mess. None of the burgers were cooked as ordered. Fries were meh, sweet potato fries were actually quite good. Service was good, other than the fact the manager said they would comp us for the inedible food and didn't. Lots of TV's, ok tap beer selection (nothing great, but not just bud and miller products). If I was meeting some friends to catch the game, perhaps. If I wanted a good burger - no.

One of my favorites. Love the make your own burgers----not fancy but a comfortable and relaxing place to watch a game.

First thing first the burger is fucking awesome. Wisconsin sharp cheddar on top of a 1/2 pound of burger and then you top that with fat bacon drenched in maple syrup and dipped in cinnamon, are you fucking kidding me? Are you reading this and wondering how the heck I could find that tasty? It was mind blowing good. I could've had the bacon on the side as candy, but as a part of the meal it was fantastic. With all the flavors going on with the toppings of the burger I felt like the exuberant amount of lettuce and tomatoes were not needed and bog down the bread to become too moist. The flavorful cheese and bacon make you forget about the taste of the meat, so I can't tell you (for certain) if it's a through and through excellent burger. Yes I had beer accompany my burger. We also had an order of jalapeno poppers which were fresh like the chef was back there cutting up the shit and stuffing it on the spot. The jalapenos, surprisingly had alot of heat in them, both of us were guzzling our cold beer and water together. On the menu it mentions a colossal sized burger with 6 one pound patties, a pound of lettuce and other toppings. This burger costs $17-26 dollars and if you can eat it in one sitting the cost is free. You would also receive a free t-shirt pointing out your piggery and ability and a photo on their wall of fame. There are many photos and within you can find two ladies and one is a petite cutie. I hope she didn't waste, later on and kept it all in. The restaurant isn't much to admire but for locals it's probably the best thing out there to do and there isn't very much, trust me. Weekends you can find the local sports players hootin and hollering over games, later on a band comes out and plays for all (Sat nights). No cover. Interesting people watching. Our server was slow and for a Saturday night it wasn't that busy so WTF? I was with broil so the lady did most of the talking with him and not me. Think whatever you like because I thought it. It's a rural area, who cares, at least my broil will handle the ordering and get us good service. I was the only color in that place, well me and the Schlitz sign. Strange thing, once the (I'm guessing) University football team left the place was left with just women and maybe a couple guys. WTF? Women to men ratio was 4 to 1. Can't beat those odds guys, where else could you go?

Well, if that guy says this is an "average burger at best" then I want to follow him around! It was a GREAT burger! Service was terrific, too! Franchise!!!!!

  • Rachel A.

I will NEVER go back to this place. The waitress was snotty 'right off the bat' and then my food was wrong. To top it all off the waitress didn't ask me if I wanted it fixed. She just stood there like she didn't care and it wasn't her problem. They need to work on the food's presentation!! Looked gross/sloppy. *SNOTTY STAFF!!!!!

Probably one of the better places in eau claire to watch a game. A lot of TV's makes watching games easy and enjoyable. I like all the different toppings you can put on your burgers but the meat its self has never been that great. Cheese curds are pretty good as well. Overall not a bad place tho.

  • John M.

Food was excellent. Highly recommend the cheese curds, but be prepared, they're a meal all by themselves. Definitely want to go back.

Milwaukee Burger Company is, I've been told, a one-off place though it looks like it might be a chain. The layout inside is nice; it's very open with booths and tables with a bar as well. TVs are on the walls showing sporting events when I've been. I first came here on the Saturday after Christmas around 9:30 p.m. A co-worker invited people out to see her husband's band play. The place was pretty empty except for a group of people up near the band. I ordered the chili cheese fries and got almost a meal's worth dish for a good price of $6. I came back on a Friday night at 6:30 p.m. and the place was packed but my wife and two friend of ours were able to be seated before too long. My wife got the fish, which is a special on Friday with an all-you-can eat option for only $1 more than the regular price. I got the guacamole burger with bacon. You can build your own burger or order speciality burgers and hey also have giant burgers that might make me ill, but eat one of them in less than half an hour and you can win a shirt (better order one size larger!). The prices are in-line with a speciality burger joint. The service staff each of the times was prompt and friendly. I actually came back due to a promotion they offered the first time, so it's nice to see that they're working to get return customers. If this were a chain I might just give them three stars, but I'm always for the local place, so that gets an extra star.

  • Dan S.

Seriously, if you are looking for a good burger this is the place in Eau Claire. If you go for fries, step up to the sweet potato fries. Service isn't spectacular, but it is good. The options you have to have with your burger are far superior to anywhere else around. If you are seeing a review saying the burger is "meh", maybe they just had a plain burger. Their specialty burgers are amazing.

Great for big games. Appetizer sampler seems overpriced ($14) for what you get.

  • Aanders D.

These burgers are superb, so far the best I've had on town. Their fried pickles are great too.

    (4)
  • Don P.

Cheese curds! They are awesome here. Best I've found in Eau Claire since the Comaraderie burned down.

  • AF W.

Bartender, she was great. Had cheese curds, pickles and cold beer. Wish we could of had burger, they looked tasty. Next time.

  • Annie V.

This place has the best cheese curds in town. The burgers are tasty too. I definitely would come here more if the menu was more diverse. Must order item: cheese curds.

Amazing sport pub and I enjoyed their food, had fried cheese curds, Reuben sandwich and a 16oz of beer. The staffs and waiters were very friendly and constantly checking on the customers and made sure that we have what we needed. I will definitely want to come back again and try different food that they offered. To make sure that you try their fried cheese curds!

Awesome place! Group of ten with our elderly grandparents/parents. They accommodated us with a quiet corner so the older folks could hear. Our server, Tyler, was amazing, answering all our questions, giving us the individual attention that everybody wanted and helping to make a great experience. Nobody at the table had a bad meal. Every burger, sandwich and aspect of the meal was incredible. I had the avocado chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and a side of homemade ranch. Every aspect was great! My mom and grandpa had a root beer float with a great root beer bite. They were very accommodating with special food requests for food allergies as we had two celiacs in our group (no gluten free bread but able to do no bread). Great selection of beers, sad about the lack of hard ciders. Worth the stop!! Thank you!

  • Quentin T.

The burgers are good as they should be at the Burger Company. Fries are occasionally questionable. Wait time for food is longer than the average restaurant in Eau Claire, but I'll eat here again, it just isn't one of my first choices for getting a burger and fries in Eau Claire.

We always love to sit at the bar ms interact with the managers and bar staff. Love trying the many different rotating beers they off enjoy the Facebook fan created monthly burger. Some are a hit while others fail. Worth trying them for sure. Love the in house made potato chips with the spicy remoulade that is served with them

I had a crappy experience with the Wausau location a few months ago for both food and service so I almost didn't come to this Eau Claire location. I am glad I did go. This was great Kurds (get the fire hot), great burgers and great service. Tuesday night is a two for one burger deal and you can't beat that. I am going to go back.

Love the curds and the wings also like going for happy hour and beer. Great customer service as well

Horrible service. I'm sorry I hate to be rude and maybe it was because I was a Chicago fan and asked to watch the Blackhawks on one of the 20 TVs, but I was completely ignored here. I'm in town for business and the hotel recommended this place and they had decent reviews, so I gave it a try! As a female, I already hate going into bars alone, but when you travel for work all week long you want to get out sometimes! The two bartenders completely ignored me. I got my first drink and after that nothing. I had to ask for a menus after 15 minutes of being ignored. Then after anther 20, I decided she wasn't worth my money or time. My beer had sat empty, pushed in front of me for over 15 minutes and she had helped the guy next to me 3 times by then. The bar was not crowded, so she definitely saw me. After the 2nd bartender came and went straight to her friends and ignored me after I looked straight at her. I left. I will tell the hotel to stop recommending this place to visitors. No one deserves to sit at a bar alone, with no drink or food for 45 minutes.

WOW what a terrible place!! one of the worst burgers ive ever had. came in on sunday afternoon. it was busy. place looked like a downgraded Applebee's Servers all College girls were a little clueless well actually ours was ordered the peanut buttere jalepeno burger which sounded interesting waited it seemed like forever to get our food. No refills on Iced tea guess (cause i wasn't drinking beer) So Punish the Tea Drinker!! SO food finally arrives I take one bite and my mouth is like on fire I mean it was a nasty burning sensation. So I look at the burger and there's no peanut butter on it. After trying to get the server actually any server to come back to the table ( that was a good 20 minutes) I tell finally flag another server down and tell her i think i have the wrong burger. She looks at it and says well that's the Atomic fire burger or something of that nature. So she takes it away. about 5 minutes later my burger comes I take a bite and its really pretty bad.like well done and dry and its been sitting under the heat lamps. Oh well live and learn . So on the ride home to IL I have massive heartburn . Which doesn't happen a lot for me :( Serves me right Should of stayed at Leinnies and had more pretzels!

5 stars for staff. This is not my kind if place first off. But the people are Always great. I have men in twice. The bloody Mary selection Is awesome, bacon Bloody Mary with bacon vodka? Count me in. And I'm a vegan. Awesome. Had a few appetizers, they have popcorn which is better Than anything in my book. Tv. Best part has been the staff. Fun, relaxed, accommodating And efficient. Today I had Joe, he was funny and professiona, I really really enjoyed his service people should take notice.l. Always nice bartenders. I'm in ec a few times a year and have Found this to be a nice addition.

Very busy place only had to wait maybe 5 mins to get a table . It was worth the wait very good food. cheese curds are to die for. Burgers melt in your mouth.

  • Troy S.

Decent burger menu, but the burgers are not consistent. Great skin-on French fries. Epic Bloody Mary's if that's your thing. Great tap wall with decent craft beer, and the usual assortment of flavorless, soulless American lagers...yuk! Crazy busy on Sunday mornings. Happy hour M-F, 3-6 and every day 9pm-close. 1/2 off apps, taps, margaritas, and rail drinks. Lots of flat screen TVs and Buzztime trivia.

Good food. Could be crowded. Malt is good. Good service. Good wings . We go there often.

  • Adel Z.

The burgers were average at best. The service was not too friendly! The place decor needs some updating.

Great burgers and cheese curds. Staff was very friendly and the price was right. Honestly one if the best burgers I ever ate

    (4)
  • Patrick G.

For a sports bar it's pretty good. For a burger place it's below average. A burger place should ask how you would like your burger. They come out well done FYI. They use mushrooms from a can for the "sautéed mushrooms". The "hand-cut fries" were soggy and tasted old. In short- The service and beer list were good, food was bad.

Have stopped here three times to eat, every time has been perfect. Good food, good beer cheese soup, nice waitresses. Would highly recommend!

Walking in the restaurant right away I felt a good vibe, they have multiple TVs everywhere so there's action everywhere you look. The guest service is really nice they are friendly and up to par. The food was excellent; I recommend getting the cheese curd cheeseburger, it's their signature trademark burger and you can't go wrong. I give this place a 5/5 stars it's a must if you're in the area.

  • Travis W.

I am giving MBC a one star rating because the burgers here were once amazing, but in the last few months something has changed - they now taste bland and unseasoned... even the specialty burgers. On my last visit the server obviously knew we were unhappy and avoided our table. Not going back for a while. I am really disappointed in the reduction in food quality because I do love their big selection of craft beers and it was once one of my favorite restaurants.

    (1)
  • Wanda M.

Bloodies, they have several types of bloody marys to try. And deep fried pickles. It is like Disneyland for adult taste buds!

  • Harris P.

Great burger! Great craft beer selection. Best of all grest service. Would go back.

  • Shin M.

The server here was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My team got the classic cheese curds to start. It was basically like deep fried cheddar cheese and absolutely yummy! I got the cheese curd burger with sourdough bread and a side of gumbo soup. The gumbo soup was kind of spicy and I was not a fan of the flavor so I did not take more than a sip. However, the burger was delicious! It had two cheese curds in it which made it super cheesalicious. For dessert, we were intrigued by the deep fried chocolate chip cookies. It was a plate of ice cream/whip cream with 4 tiny deep fried choco chip cookies. It was OK.. nothing special, it prob would have tasted better without it being deep fried. Also, I got a mango lemonade which was really good. They have a bunch of different naturally squeezed lemonade flavors. I would definitely come back!

  • Kristine R.

Honestly I think this place is over-hyped. The menu is creative and there are several different options, but I really couldn't get into my burger. I am pretty sure the meat isn't that fresh, and neither were the fixings on top. The chicken wings also didn't taste fresh. Service was so-so as well, and I know this is a weird thing to say- the the restaurant itself felt and smelled dirty! This is definitely a place you come to watch the game- there are TVs everywhere. Several of my friends love the place, but I guess it's a hit or miss thing with me. I will however say that their Bloody Mary's are excellent (spicy and complete with a mini burger.)

    (2)
  • Dianne W.

I like this place. The burgers are good the cheese curds are beyond good.the service is alright. Seems like whenever you walk in the door there are like 4 or 5 servers just standing there talking to each other and they turn and stare at you as you come in. Makes me uncomfortable. Thats my only complaint. And it's kind of cold in there so bring a sweater or something.

    (4)
  • Alan C.

Love this place for a few reasons. The boneless wings and their sauce/dry rub choices, the Bleu Cheese Potato salad and the beer! Also have some great servers and bartenders. New manager really knows his beer and likes hearing suggestions on future beer selections. Also...the happy hour is amazing. 42 tap beer choices at half price!

  • Mary J.

So, I gave MBC another shot and it was much better! Our server was a smart-alecky young woman who made our lunch a fun event. She was hilarious! This time around I chose the MBC BELT and it was delicious. My daughter and husband each ordered a BYO burger and they were asked how they wanted it cooked and they were done perfectly. The buns were fresh and all the fixings were crisp and flavorful. I did have a Bloody Mary and it was amazing! I will come back to MBC again, but I am still nervous about the cheese curds. The Camaraderie ruined me for all other curds :) The Blue Door Pub in MSP has the best so far.

  • Lyndsay K.

I was here well over a year ago and loved the cheese curds AND my burger with cheddar, BBQ sauce, bacon and onions. I loved it so much that when I found I needed to travel to Milwaukee for biz next month the first think I did was look for an MKE branch of Milwaukee Burgee. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be one. The point is - I found the burger and curds to be totally delicious here. I prefer my curds fresh over fried, but they were good. Just not as good as that burger. Wow to that! Friendly service. Great experience! Where else can I find MBC?

    (4)
  • Mitchell B.

Good selection of burgers and toppings, but burgers were dry with skimpy toppings which did not justify the price. Fries were okay. The service was extremely slow even though they were only half full during lunch hour. Beer selection looked good but I didn't drink. I will not be going back.

Great pitstop while driving between MSP and WAU. Reasonable prices and the bacon bloody mary was the best!

My go-to restaurant. I have been here countless times. The food is always great and the service is the best in town EVERY TIME. I appreciate the consistency.

Best cheese curds EVER!!! We had an order of the classic ones, plus a hamburger-one of the best burgers anywhere on this planet---and fried pickles. I must say, I would make a special trip from home in the Twin Cities just to eat here, it's that GOOD! :) You must go......

Love the Cheese Curd Burger and the Hangover Burger. Wings are good also. Little pricey, not to much just a little.

pretty much your average sports bar with a decent selection of beers on tap. The cheese curds eu claire style were really good, but you can only eat soo much fried cheese before you start feeling nauseous. Large screen TVs everywhere and service was fast. I assume it must be deer hunting season in Chippewa Valley Wisconsin since a majority of the male patrons were dressed in camouflage.

We yelped this place and took a pit stop on our road trip. We were very happy after we left, but it would be a great place is to watch a game with friends/family too. There's lots of room so feel free to bring a bunch. The service was really good. She explained the menu well and made some good suggestions. We started off with the cheese curds which were amazing. They were stringier and bigger than other cheese curds I've had. Really some of the best I've had. Great burger, the meat was fresh and well cooked.

Do not bother if you have a food allergy as they are very unwilling to assist and the resulting food was unedible. Went as a family and I have 2 daughters with celiac disease who can't eat gluten. While I wasn't surprised that they didn't have a gluten free menu, we can usually manage to cobble a meat and/or salad together, but they stated that they didn't have a gluten free dressing available. Balsamic vinaigrette was an option that usually wouldn't have gluten in it, so I asked if I could see the ingredients. They refused due to the secrecy of their recipes. When I ordered it, it was clearly nothing more than vinegar and oil. Most restaurants these days "get it" and try to assist all customers to enjoy their restaurant. This one clearly doesn't.

  • Rebecca H.

I was at Milwaukee Burger Company yesterday afternoon with my sister. The regular draft beer was $4 and my Rueben sandwich was at least 50 percent fat. It was the first Rueben I have ever had that was unedible. My sister's glass of water and chicken sandwich was ok. It's a good thing I was just passing through Eau Claire, so I never have to pay $30 for two sandwiches and one small beer again.

A nice find on the way home from Milwaukee to Minneapolis. We enjoyed the burgers, and the cheese curds are huge! Filled with gooey cheese. Everything is fresh, and the service was very good!

So here I am now fully inspired, all gung ho and ready to tell you about not just one burger, but two!.... and maybe an appetizer. That's right this is a 2 for 1 blog with an appetizer! So here's the story. The time in most parents lives had finally come for us and we needed to bring our oldest son to college. Not just any college, but a university. North Central University in Minneapolis. It's a small Bible school about 4 block away from the metro dome. So as any good parent would do when taking their kid away to school... we checked out Yelp for the best restaurants in the area. Minneapolis is an interesting town. They have 7 billion stoplights in a 3 block area, and all the streets are one way, going the same direction. However there's no one on those streets because they're all on the highway at 11 at night causing 6 hour traffic jams. I'll leave it up to you to determine if I'm exaggerating. On Friday we did some exploring and found a small, I mean absolutely tiny, hot dog joint that was featured on Diners Drive ins and Dives. This place fell very comfortably into the dive category. It is called the Weinery (in case you want to look it up) and they serve... I think like 15 different kinds of hot dogs. Oh, by the way, this isn't the place I'm blogging about. but it was awesome and I just want to talk about it. They've got the Chicago just like we like it. They've got a Manhattan with chili, cheese and onions. They've got dogs with cole slaw, dogs with baked beans, dogs with bacon and on and on and on... Oversized plates of cheese fries and onion rings. Thick milkshakes and we only paid $20 for the three of us. And the staff was super friendly. They really made you feel like you were their best friend. Check it out if you ever go up.Moving on... We spent Saturday moving Ben in to his dorm. The 5th floor of a brick building with no air conditioning. Oh it was in the upper 90's all week. YAY! His room has a nice southern exposure so as to get plenty of sunlight to help bring the temperature of the wood furniture near is combustion point. It's OK though. We bought him a fan. So from there it was the hour and a half drive to Eau Claire. (this is where the burgers are) As I said before, being responsible adults we quickly tuned in to Yelp to find a place for dinner. It was gonna be Red Lobster. We were sure of it. I mean... Endless shrimp! Come on now! Then I saw it. 4 out of 5 stars. 21 reviews. That's a pretty good ratio. So that's where we ended up. The first thing we noticed was the parking lot was full. Good sign. The hostess was smiley and friendly and sat us right away. Big tables with comfy booth seats. They had TV's everywhere, most with the Vikings on.Their signature burger is the Juicy Milly. This was what Melissa got. (but we actually split them) It's a take off on the Juicy Lucy from nearby Minneapolis. I never got the size of the burgers but they seemed to be about a half pound. This one they stuff with cheese. It had a Velveeta constancy. We cut it open and the cheese oozed out. Oh man! She ordered it with sauteed mushrooms. The burger's are cooked on a flat top. You can tell this by the crunchy layer of flavor all around the burger. The buns were super soft, but held up to the burger, topping and the juices. I ordered the Brown Sugar and Smoked Cheddar Burger. This had brown sugar cured, thick cut bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, Pabst soaked grilled onions and a honey BBQ sauce. The quality of the ingredients really took me by surprise. The burgers are all homemade handpacked patties. the buns were that day fresh and everything else was just top notch. This may sound funny, but, it had flavor! I chose not to order fries, so I got the soup instead, bacon cheeseburger soup. This was cheeseburger in soup form. A drinkable cheeseburger! It was basically cheddar cheese soup with hamburger in it. It also had diced bacon, onions and maybe diced tomato, but it could have been diced red bell pepper. I couldn't tell, what I could tell is that it was awesome! So oh yeah, the appetizer. We got the Eau Claire Style, Classic Cheese Curds. These are like 2 inch by 2 inch blocks of cheddar cheese that are battered and deep fried. The batter wasn't' spicy, but it was seasoned well with salt, pepper and I'm thinking cayenne, maybe, not sure. They weren't greasy at all and came 9 in an order. They were served with ranch and chipotle ranch sauces. My cholesterol's going up just thinking about it. It's a bit of a hike for just a burger, it's about 5 to 6 hours from Chicago, but if you're ever going up that way, I-94 west, you've gotta stop here. Anyway, that's along story just to tell you about a couple of burgers, but it's the story of how I ended up at Milwaukee Burger Company Grill and Bar.

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States.
